My Picc Line has become worn out and is leaking fluid when being flushed so I had to get it pulled out. We were continuing to flush it until we could figure out pricing for IV meds because my insurance is still not wanting to pay for it. I am currently on Oral antibiotics which seem to be keeping my symptoms at bay. I still have the odd seizure once in awhile, my legs are very stiff and I am unable to walk without at least a cane and that is limited to walking from my bed to the washroom. The rest of the time I am in a wheelchair full time. Which isn't great news because one of these years my wish will come true and I will be cured! In the meantime I am getting a new wheelchair that is ultralight and is measured to my size so I'm pretty excited to be getting that.
Other nightmares of problems I have been dealing with is I developed small blisters on my fingers, the palms of my hands, my toes and the bottoms of my feet. These blisters felt like small rocks if I tried to take a step, my fingers hurt so bad just from my fingers rubbing together. It was awful. Well, time to see another specialist, a Dermatologist that gave me a diagnosis of Dyshidrosis which is a type of Eczema which came out of the blue, I have never had Eczema or experienced anything like this. The dermatologist gave me some cream and the Dyshidrosis was gone within about a week.
I've had quite the Candida breakout in the last month, I had thrush in my mouth, and Candida within my entire body so I was put on Diflucan which I am still currently on and the Candida has diminished greatly.
I am feeling pretty good, my memory isn't the greatest which it never really is but I try to write a lot of things down so that I can remember what I have to do during the day or the pills I'm supposed to take at a certain time. You make it a daily routine and having everything written down in front of you allows you to look everything up instead of becoming frustrated that I can't remember something. I am looking forward to spending time with everyone for the holidays and enjoying all the trimmings that go with it!!!
Merry Christmas!
